Mr. Malloy has served in every phase of a consulting engineering office including entry level, design engineer, senior design engineer, mechanical department head, Principal-in-Charge A/E Services and middle and senior management positions. He is presently licensed in 40 states. His involvement includes every project phase, from the detail engineering to overall project manager on projects ranging in size from several thousand to $400M.  His engineering experience includes hospitals and medical-related facilities, research laboratories, schools, office buildings, postal facilities, and industrial buildings – both public and private sector.  He has more than 46 years’ experience in the design and renovation of facilities throughout the United States.

Mr. Malloy has developed seismic design criteria and application on projects in Zones 1 thru 4.  His Alaska licensure required special engineering training in cold regions design which lends application to other cold and non-artic regions.

In addition to Arctic regions, Mr. Malloy has performed continued studies in building skin moisture migration phenomenon for coastal regions. Collectively with Tom Fisher, he has developed several software applications for condensation potential in various wall assemblies.

In April 1987, Mr. Malloy was instrumental in founding Phoenix Design Group, Inc. which is aimed at providing high-end engineering design services through direct principal involvement in all project phases.
